Two Rings Available: Heights on offer will be leadline & poles to 1.04m.

Entries are open to Murray Adult rider member, EA members or day membership may be purchased.

EVENT INFORMATION:

Conditions Of Entry

1. The organisers/committee of Murray Adult Riders reserve the right to
cancel, alter or combine any events they seem necessary on the day. The
committee, judges and officials DO NOT accept liability for any accident,
loss, damage, illness or injury to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any
other person or property whatsoever. ENTRY TO GROUNDS IS AT YOUR OWN
RISK.
2. All riders must wear a current approved safety helmet and riding boots at all
times when mounted on their horse/pony. Riders are to wear a hacking
jacket.
3. All Leading Rein handlers must be over 16yrs old & wear closed in footwear. It
is suggested that the leading rein be attached to the cavesson noseband or
a butterfly lead through the ponies bit. No halters or leads with chains
attached are to be used.
4. Rider’s age will be as at the day of the event, proof of age may be requested.
5. Murray Adult Ridersreservesthe rightto interpret allrules&make a decision
where any dispute arises.
6. Murray Adult Riders and its committee, judges and officials DO NOT accept
liability for any accident, loss, damage, illness or injury to horses, owners,
riders, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. Entry to the
grounds is at your own risk.
7. If you are not a direct member of Murray Adult Riders or an EWA member,
you will need to fill in the DAY ENTRY FORM and pay $10 competition
membership, this need to be filled with your online entry.
8. NO DOGS allowed on the grounds.
9. No Judge is to be approached at anytime. If you have a query, please go to
the Club rooms and seek out a MURRAY ADULT RIDERS committee member
to help you with your query.
10. PLEASE PICK UP ALL YOUR HORSES MANURE, IN THE YARD, AT FLOAT AND IN CAR PARK
11. CAMPING WILL BE AVAILABLE UPON APPLICATION
12. There will be no refunds without a vert certificate or doctors letter
13. There will be no entries on the day. Please enter through the MURRAY ADULT RIDERS
website
14. Classes will be broken into three age groups: Rider 13yrs and under, rider 14yrs upto and
including 25yrs and rider over 25yrs. Ribbons awarded up to 6th place
15. Every entry will need to complete a help duty which can be chosen via SIGN UP. If you do
not choose a duty, your entry will be scrapped.

Insurance:
Non Murray Adult Rider Club Members must pay a $10 Day Membership Insurance Fee and sign/agree to the waiver.

Entries, Draw and Helpers

Entries:
Pre-entries are compulsory. Entries close Wednesday 20th May unless filled prior.


OPTIMUM TIME – Article Number 238.5.1: The rider endeavours to ride the course
according to how the judge has measured the course and speed it should be ridden at. The
rider closest to the time with the least number of faults is the winner. The overall rider
closest to the optimum time will win the trophy rug for that class!
AM7 – Article Number 238.2.2 & 245.3: This class is a show jumping format where riders
with a clear first round (no jumping or time penalties), immediately proceed to a jump-off
against the clock. Riders have 45 seconds to cross the start flags after the bell. The jump-off
is shortened and penalties are incurred for knock downs, refusals and exceeding the time
limit in the jump off.
OFF THE TRACK: This class is for OTT thoroughbreds and standardbreds with a passport
number. This class will be included within every height. Ribbons will be awarded to 6th place
as well as points which will be and tallied and the rider with the most points at the end of
the day will win the Best Performed OTT Trophy Rug.

Draw List:
The show jumping course will be open 8.30am for walking (subject to change).
Draw will be sent out on Thursday 21st May.
Riders MUST ride in draw order when final draw is published. If there are any enquires, an email to the event secretary is essential before entries close.

Helpers:
One helper per horse. First in first served basis. Please ensure you advise if you scratch to ensure we can fill positions. It is your responsibility to find a helper if you can not fulfil your duty. Failure to fill your helper duty WILL result in further nominations being declined. Helper duties are first in first served via our online jobs request booking site.

General Information


Ring 1 will be large grass arena in front of the storage shed and Ring 2 will be the
grass arena in front of the club house.
• Horse and Rider combinations can only enter ONE RING and maximum THREE
ROUNDS.
• Horse and rider can enter a class twice, but the second round and all rounds after
that will be non-competitive.
• Classes will be broken into three age groups: Rider 13yrs and under, rider 14yrs
upto and including 25yrs and rider over 25yrs. Ribbons awarded up to 6th place.
• The following classes will not be broken into age groups – POLES, 30CM, 100CM
AND 104CM
• Ribbons and prizes can be collected from the club house after results have been
announced.
• Courses will be open for walking after each height change.
• Every rider must nominate a helper. Helper jobs will be available via Sign Up. A link
will be emailed to you once entries close and will also be available on our Facebook
Event Page. Riders who do not nominate for a helper job will be eliminated.
• All riders wanting to enter the OTT classes must supply a completed OTT form.
• Thanks to our friends at HAIRY PONY, each ring will have a BEST PRESENTED
AWARD that will be judged through out the day by our ring judges and awarded
when they find their horse and rider combination who they believe is BEST
PRESENTED!
• All entrants must comply with EA gear checking and standards. If the entry
marshalls notice anything about your gear OR attire being unsafe or not to
standard, you will be asked to correct it before presenting to the judge.
• Adult Rider members may wear there club uniform.
• Thanks to Murray Adult Riders Club, we will be awarding a trophy rug to the Best
Performed Adult Rider member. Please make sure you register as an Adult Rider
entrant to be eligible.

Safety, Refunds, Ambulance and Vet

Safety Regulations:
We follow the EA guidelines. It is the rider’s responsibility to wear the approved safety standard helmet.

Refunds:
Where a scratching is received before event entries close, the Treasurer may approve a refund of fees, less ground fee and ambulance levy.

For a refund to be approved, a request for refund must be received within 7 working days of the scratching.

Where a scratching is received after event entries close, the Treasurer and one other Executive Committee Members may authorise a refund, less ambulance levy and ground fee.

For a refund to be approved, the entrant must provide the Treasurer with the following evidence within 7 working days of the scratching:

(a) A medical certificate that the rider, an immediate dependent, or the adult supporter in the entry is unable to attend,

OR

(b) A veterinary certificate that the horse is not able to compete on the day.

Where a scratching is made on or after the event commences, no refund is available.

Ambulance and Vet:
There will not be a vet present on the day. Medic Aid will be attending this event.
